ERPANET held its first training seminar on the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) Model. This two day training session was held in the Black Diamond (Royal Library, Copenhagen, Denmark) on the 28th-29th of November 2002. The event was co-hosted by ERPANET, the Royal Library, Denmark and Denmark's Electronic Research Library. It provided participants with an opportunity to learn about and interpret the OAIS Model and its wider applications.
Expert speakers included Robin Dale (Research Libraries Group), David Giaretta (CCLRC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory), Hans Hofman (Nationaal Archief van Nederland), David Holdsworth (CEDARS), Julien Masanès (Bibliothèque nationale de France), Najla Semple (Edinburgh University Library), and Deborah Woodyard (British Library).
